Dempsey Direct
You can’t make a first impression twice. Imagine what it means to a small business to have a business card that actually stops conversation the first time it’s seen.
Susan Dempsey came to us a few years back wanting an identity for her newly renamed copywriting business, Dempsey Direct. To get conversations moving faster (and in her direction), she also wanted a small brochure to hand out along with her business card. Since her specialty is direct mail concepts and copy, we combined the deliverables into an actual business card-sized envelope containing her fold-out brochure. And, yes, it has stopped conversations ever since.
The announcement of the new identity and card was sent out in a mailer, with just the right dash of both clever humor and common sense that Susan is known for. That combination of look, feel and voice gave her brand an authentic foundation on which to grow.
That was “the beginning of a beautiful friendship.” We have since collaborated on many a successful client project – and recently had the chance to team up with Susan on her own long-awaited website. Expanding on the “direct mail you’d like to get” idea, the site showcases her unique approach and character.
Susan said to us shortly after the site had launched, “The feedback I’ve received so far is just phenomenal – exactly the range of comments I hoped for. In the most beautiful way, you captured the fun, the professionalism, and the personality of my business on every page of my site. I can’t thank you enough.”
